Landed in May 1986 – “Chuck the Channel Cat” dedicated to Good Sport and Good Fishing. Sponsors: Triple S Investments and the Town of Selkirk. Design: EM Moore. Taken from the sign at the statue. It is 11 metres tall. Chuck’s mission: to help promote Selkirk as the “Catfish Capital,” a suitable title for the place where anglers often yank 30-pounders from the Red River.
